Cloud Dentistry is a great app to use when needing supplemental or extra hours. I appreciate the apps user friendly layout, notifications and the free CE's. It would be nice to see more opportunities in my area though.

Dissent

The other side

The recurring complaints worth keeping an eye on — the dissent behind the ratings.

Strongly advise healthcare providers to look elsewhere for different more professional agencies that do provide malpractice insurance coverage and mileage . Customer service not addressing serious issues and needs training of how to correspond to the healthcare industry. You are not allowed to escalate a concern and its only addressed by one person that states to you that they are the highest level of escalation when they are not. I did research CLoud dentistry and there are several articles in regards to the many complaints with the company.

Not a very welcoming environment at their booth at fdc. Edit there was no line. It was just us and I did not appreciate their attitude towards me and my husband. I hope thats not the company attitude.

Not convenient — The app is not as fast and easy to use as most apps. I don’t like how they do not list the important information by date and pay amount so you can quickly go through it and pick the office based on date and pay. AND TO ALL RDH - pls don’t accept low pay. You bring the pay down for everyone. It should never be below $65. If you wait the pay will increase.

RDH NEW GRAD EXPERIENCE — As a new grad dental hygienist, I have really enjoyed this this app so far. Through this app, I have been able to find some of my first temp jobs and be able to get real life experience. I Love how easy the app is able to be used and how I can know other details of every temp job I pick up. Recently I had a great experience with their customer service. They’re really fast and efficient and getting back to me.

Bad — Worst Dental staffing app Ever!

Useless — They barely have shifts in Philadelphia

Horrible Policies — I would strongly recommend against downloading or using this app for your temping needs!!! I contacted customer support to request that my profile and personal information be removed because I never actually used the app—I ended up using other platforms instead. Unfortunately, I was told that I couldn’t delete my own profile or remove my personal information. It also appears that changes to your account require contacting support, and even then, my request to have my information removed was denied. If having control over your personal data is important to you, this is something to consider before signing up. There are plenty of other temping apps available that offer similar opportunities, so I would recommend exploring those instead.

Late penalties — This app works in favor for offices. The professional can get last minute cancellations and receive zero compensation and nothing happens to the office. Showed up to a shift and was sent home early and not compensated for the entire shift. This app has the most job listings due to offices having zero accountability.

Cloud Dentistry receives markedly divided user feedback that reflects both operational strengths and significant structural weaknesses. Dental hygienists consistently praise the app's intuitive interface, same-day pay, free continuing education offerings, and ability to set their own rates, with many describing it as their preferred temping platform for flexibility and ease of booking. However, substantial complaints center on persistent technical problems—app freezes, crashes, and login failures—alongside more consequential policy grievances: the lack of professional accountability from dental offices, which can cancel shifts without compensation or send workers home early without pay, while hygienists face strict point-based penalties for cancellations even with advance notice. Additional concerns include data privacy issues, with users unable to delete their accounts or personal information, unclear communication about penalties in the fine print, and customer support characterized as unresponsive and unable to escalate complaints. The disparity between hygienist and office accountability, combined with chronic app reliability issues and limited transparency about fees and policies, undermines user confidence despite the platform's convenient core functionality.

I think the overwork is part of it. I started to write a whole novel explaining the other things, but doing so made me realize it’s either a bad office or not the right fit. I’ve reached out to a couple other offices and put days up on Cloud Dentistry. I’m worried they’re going to guilt trip me about how hard it is to…

Can you use a temp license on Cloud Dentistry? — I spoke with a Cloud Dentistry representative who said as long as they can look up a license they’ll accept it, however, when applying for a temp license (NY), it states somewhere that in order to be approved, the supervisor has to sign off on the application. “Your supervisor must complete this section before you can…
